Full-text access for The Canadian Magazine will be available beginning later in 2024. Citations will link to text and illustrations in the form of facsimile pages online at Canadiana.ca.

Gordon Adshead has been been busy revising and augmenting the indexing for The University Magazine. Most citations now link to text and illustrations in the form of facsimile pages online at Canadiana.ca, the Canadian Research Knowledge Network's invaluable site dedicated to the preservation of Canada's documentary heritage.

Chatelaine was first published in March 1928, created by the Maclean-Hunter Publishing Company with the purpose of focusing"
on topics of interest to Canadian women: romance fiction, food, style and fashion, home design and furnishing, child care and upbringing, women’s health and relationships, with
occasional articles on politics and women’s rights. Most authors were Canadians, both male and female, and almost all subjects covered were Canadian events and personalities.

Gordon Adshead has been been continuing with annotated indexing for the Canadian Illustrated News, and Volumes One to Ten are now complete.

An in-depth review of Libris Canadiana appears in the March, 2021 issue of
The Indexer.
First published by the Society of Indexers (UK) in 1958 on a twice-yearly basis, it moved in 2008 to a quarterly publication.
From 2019 the journal is published by Liverpool University Press. The Indexer is published on behalf
of indexing societies worldwide. It seeks to cover the full range of subjects, from articles at the
cutting edge of new techniques to contributions discussing in a practical way the new tools available
to indexers at all points in the technical spectrum or exploring the history of indexing.

Also available on the Canadiana.ca site are some issues of Everywoman’s World. There is fair to good coverage for the years 1914 to 1920, and Libris now links to these images. The Libris Index covers 68 issues and full-text is available from CRKN for thirty-five of these. However, our own indexing lacks many examples of this rare publication, and we would like to augment our coverage. Please contact the Editor should you find copies in your attic.

In October of this year Gordon Adshead began annotated indexing for the Canadian Illustrated News, and Volumes One and Two are now complete.
A very useful feature of this project is that all citations link to text and illustrations in the form of
facsimile pages online at Canadiana.ca, the Canadian Research Knowledge Network's
site dedicated to the preservation of Canada's documentary heritage.
