Henry Ripley, Stokesley

The registers of the parish church of Stokesley, Co. York, 1571-1750. 'Item Thomas Sonn to Henrye Ripleye was baptised the 15 daye' [of June, 1574]. This Henry may have been resident in Kildale, which is just outside the boundary of Stokesley parish. Also, this Henry may have had a son John Ripley: John Ripley of Great Ayton died in 1648, leaving a will which mentions a brother, Rowland Ripley.
